I’m not a fan of the static resin cryptek GW provides so I used a Immortal/Praetorian kit-bash to make my own. And they look pretty damn good.

Thokt Dynasty Necrons Here’s what I’ve done so far. I’m not sold on the bases, but the theme is solid! The 2 extra immortals I finished just before starting Dave’s project. I’ve 4 more models to do for Dave before I can dedicate any real time to this army, but when I’m clear I [...] So after a few months painting Grey Knights I needed to do something different to break up the monotony. I’ve had this thing sitting on my desk teasing me for far too long and I had to see what would look like completed.
[...] I grinded on these bastards for about 11 hours between Wednesday and Thursday of last week to get them finished. And finally they are done and delivered to Dave. I’ve still 4 models to complete for him but this project is just about done.

Anyway I’ve decided to break this project down into similar parts so I can get them done in bunches. I have till the end of Jan to get this project complete and that should be plenty of time. Here’s [...] My first commission project goes to my Pal Dave. I’ve done work for him previously (Dreadnought & Orc Mega Dread) but this will be my first major project that’s not my own. Dave wanted them done in a Red/Bone scheme a la Menoth from Warmachine. It’s not a large project so I should get them [...] I finished this squad before Thanksgiving but never posted the pics for it. All and all the squad came out looking pretty good, though I never want to paint yellow again… I brought them to the store for delivery and there happened to be a terrain piece featuring a downed IF speeder built and painted [...] |
