Hey people. I don’t know if anyone still follows this blog but I’m back. Again…
I laid off this hobby for nigh 2 years as I tried to figure out what I wanted to do as a hobbyist. Without boring you with details soaked in nerdy bitterness, I have ceased all activities with Games Workshop products.
Henceforth this blog will revolve around Infinity wargaming/painting. and terrain painting/building.

Damn, it’s been nigh a year since I updated this blog. For those still read it, I apologize for my silence. I’ve gotten pretty dejected over this hobby, mainly the decisions made by GW over the last decade, and it really killed my interest in bothering. To make a long story short, my painting is fueled by a desire to play. With all the ass-hattery that GW was throwing around, I didn’t want to bother with them. As a consequence my hobby interest dried up.
I’ve been quiet, but I’ve been watching. I can say, this current edition of 40K is solid. Really solid. It’s like GW started testing their product before release. All the 7th edition books have been fairly balanced. No over the top bullshit (Tau/Eldar/Knights) really to speak of.
With the arrival of the new Necron book I’ve jumped back into the game and hobby. Looking forward to getting into the swing again. Again…

Greetings viewers (if anyone still even reads this blog),
It’s been over a year since I’ve updated Glaven. Sorry about that people. I’ve been in a terrible rut that has all but eradicated any hobby interest. I think I’ve played 4 games of 40K this year…
Anyway, I went over to a friends house to discuss the merits of the High Elf army and how they function and I felt the spark return! I actually have an itch to build and paint again!
I’ll be taking it slow so I don’t burn myself out again, but I think things are going to go back to how they were.

Thought I’d try out a new look for Glaven. The theme is called Monochrome, and I’m liking it a lot so far!

Sorry for the lack of content people. I’ve been a tad swamped. After Adepticon I had a 7 page essay to write and other crap to do. But things have calmed down and I have time again.
First up I’d like to introduce a good friend of mine who will be posting content to Glaven. Mike is to kit building, terrain, and basing as I am to painting. Here’s one of his recent works:

Secondly, I’ve gotten at least 1 of all the new Necron kits and they are awesome! Pics forthcoming.
And lastly, I’m trying to figure out if I intend to go to Armies on Parade at GD this year. I didn’t compete last year with my Tomb Kings and missed out. With the changes to my local hobby shop on the horizon, I think I may pass this year as well and focus on preping my ‘Crons for Nova. Decisions and details as soon as I make my mind up.

Sorry people. Google canceled this service for all non-blogger sites starting March 1st of this year.
It’s a shame as I really liked that widget. I’ll be damned if I’m going to let Google force me into moving over to blogger as I like the flexibility of WordPress and because I’m lazy.
I hope those who follow use my RSS feed to get announcements when I post something new.

So I’ve just about hammered out my army list for the Blob’s Park tourney and it includes a new unit. I’m in the process of painting a unit of 6 Necro Knights for this event.
I must hate myself or something as this unit was VERY time consuming to assemble and completing it along with Arkhan and the display board may require divine/infernal intervention.
I’ll try to get some pictures posted but I need to get enough done to ease the pressure.

So that theme I was testing “Graphene” broke on it’s second post. I have no idea WTF is wrong with it and I don’t care to find out. I’m changing to this stable theme (Atahualpa) until I can find one that suits my aesthetic tastes or I change this one to suit.
